Acceptable Use Policy

What you may not make or do with Exbrush, and what happens if you do.

Last updated 25 October 2026

1. The short version

Make what you like, as long as it is legal, it is yours to make, and it does not harm anyone. This policy is part of the Terms of Service and applies to everything you upload, prompt, generate and edit.

2. Content you may not make or upload

  • Anything sexual involving minors, or that sexualises anyone who is or appears to be under 18. We report it to the authorities.
  • Sexually explicit or pornographic images.
  • Intimate or sexual images of a real person, with or without their clothes edited, whatever the source photo.
  • Images of real people without their consent that could deceive, embarrass, defame or harass them, including face swaps and edits that put someone in a place, pose or situation they were never in.
  • Hate and harassment: content that attacks or demeans people for who they are, or that targets an individual.
  • Violence and extremism: content that promotes or glorifies violence, terrorism or self-harm.
  • Fraud and deception: fake identity documents, forged certificates, receipts or screenshots, and images meant to mislead people about real events or public figures.
  • Other people’s work and brands: copies of copyrighted artwork or characters, and logos or icons that imitate an existing trademark. See the Copyright Policy.
  • Anything illegal where you live or where it will be used.

3. Photos of people

The photo editor can change faces, poses and backgrounds. Only upload a photo of a person if it is you, or if you have that person’s permission for what you are about to do with it. Never upload photos of children you are not the parent or guardian of.

4. Things you may not do

  • Try to get around the content checks, for example with coded or disguised prompts.
  • Use scripts, bots or scrapers to drive the service, or resell or share access to it.
  • Create multiple accounts to collect free credits, or abuse payments, refunds or chargebacks.
  • Probe, overload or attack the service, or try to reach other people’s images or accounts.
  • Pass off an AI-generated image as a real photograph where that would mislead.

5. How this is enforced

Runs are checked automatically, and a run that is declined is not charged. The checks are not perfect: something being allowed through does not make it permitted, and you remain responsible for what you make.

If we find a breach we may remove the content, suspend the account, or close it. For a serious breach we close the account without warning and remaining credits are forfeited, as set out in the Terms of Service. Where the law requires it, we report illegal content.

6. Reporting

If you see Exbrush being used in a way that breaks this policy, or an image of you made without your consent, write to support@exbrush.com with as much detail as you can.
